Eastern Railroad Discussion > FEC SB Freight, Bunnell, FL, Easter Sunday afternoonDate: 04/12/20 20:16 FEC SB Freight, Bunnell, FL, Easter Sunday afternoon Author: DocJohn Based on posts on TO, one doesn't expect to see much daylight activity on the FEC. Was in the right place at right time to catch a SB intermodal at Bunnell, FL, around 3:15 p.m. on Easter Sunday afternoon. Engines had LNG fuel tender betweem them.

Mostly containers and trailers? Posted from Android Date: 04/13/20 08:17 Re: FEC SB Freight, Bunnell, FL, Easter Sunday afternoon Author: LV95032 There is daylight action on the FEC - especially on the north end. Early morning and later afternoon.

SantaFeRuss Date: 04/13/20 18:38 Re: FEC SB Freight, Bunnell, FL, Easter Sunday afternoon Author: Lackawanna484 Yes. The grades are very manageable, so trains can run very heavy
FEC often fills out trains with available cargo, so a train like 202 might have a hundred cars of stone, 50 cars of ethanol empties, some auto carrier empties, etc. Two ES44 units and an LNG tender. The 924 (IIRC) often rolls with a single GP40-2 and 50 cars of stone or sand. 50 mph |
