In early May 2020 NS idled the Hump operations at their Linwood Yard in Spencer NC. Originating / terminating trains from this yard plus a couple of new train symbols were re-directed to six other NS yards within the Carolina region. The numbers from the first weeks operations are in and things don't look so good. It is assumed that the Weekly Average numbers reported to the STB for terminal dwell listed for Linwood for week ending May 15 are the combined numbers from the six yards that absorbed the traffic. These six yards and the manifest trains they handle are inserted within the chart shown below. As side note the numbers listed for Atlanta is also a combined accounting from several yards like Armour, Chamblee, Industry, South etc, yards. 

NOTE: Metrics reported to the STB define “Week” as Saturday to Friday for all Class 1's.
