Eastern Railroad Discussion > NJ Transit "Shop" TrainDate: 07/19/20 16:06 NJ Transit "Shop" Train Author: overniteman Just about every Sunday, New Jersey Transit runs a train out of the Meadows Maintenance Complex in Kearny, N.J. South down to Morrisville, Pa. with cars and engines going back into service after inspections and repairs.
I've really enjoyed waiting for it with the variety it carries and today's was a good one. GP40PH-2 4106 (ex-CNJ) has a pair of Comet cars, three bi-levels and a pair of ALP-46's trailing thru Metuchen, N.J. at 12:14 PM. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/19/20 16:11 by overniteman. The PRR ALP-46 was in Kearny all weekend and I hoped it would be on this move, but alas, it wasn't. Date: 07/19/20 16:40 Re: NJ Transit "Shop" Train Author: Lackawanna484 Very nice. The red flag on the last car or locomotive has been a tradition forever.
