As usual our Saturday morning wake up call is Q316 working across the river in Keyser, WV. By the time we get ready, Q316 is ready to depart so we both head east to Cumberland.

1) We "intercept" Q316-30 eastbound near Pinto, MD. Their train today is 96 loads with 32 empties.

2) Now in Cumberland, MD; P030-01 slides past Q316 at the VA. Ave signal.

3) Out at Mexico Farms, N792-28 departs after being re-crewed. In the background is D720-01 waiting to depart Cumberland and the Q316 at the end of their trip.

2) A little further east, at North Branch the Q371-31 crosses the C&O Canal.

1) Q369-01 passing the modern day version of the "Bud Board" in the Narrows at the west end of town. The Bub Board once advertised a local Budweiser beer distributor is a typical location for trains to be held at before entering Cumberland Terminal.

2) Q369-01 westbound along Wills Creek in the Cumberland Narrows.

3) DPU on the rear of Q369-01.

1) Back out at North Branch, we catch L135 coming into town westbound.

2) Out in the open, we grab a shot of ex. Western Maryland SD40 in the storage lines at Cumberland. The unit minus traction motors is now owned by the Georges Creek Railway.

3) Q016-31 eastbound at the Valley Street road crossing.

1) Headed next to Green Spring, WV. Earlier this week the South Branch Valley RR handled a massive grain train..... somebody missed it as he had to work....... but the power is present and the empties are waiting for CSX to pick them up.

2) While in Green Spring we catch the eastbound Q217-01 heading for Cumberland.

3) And that "Green" signal in the above photo.... that's for the Q016-31 eastbound after re-crewing in Cumberland.

1) Early Morning Surprise..... Q316-31 eastbound with an all EMD Locomotive consist at the Rebecca road crossing near Pinto, MD

2) Another day at North Branch, another meet..... E780-01 westbound passes D720-02.

3) Q369-02 pulling west off the Freight Track at Cumberland.

Thank you once again Tim for all the updated photos from the Cumberland vicinity.  The South Branch Valley F unit #1755 looks good pulling the passenger train and I am wondering if you know what paint scheme they might eventually paint that engine?  Another B&O or C&O would look great to go along with the others that they operate.
