Eastern Railroad Discussion > “America’s Train has to Run Today” NRFF at Port Clinton, PA

While I was sitting by the Reading line in Blandon, PA today listening to the Reading and Northern crews making up their NRRB and NRFF trains to head north, one of the crew actually said "America's train has to run today."

I guess the moniker first posted here on TO by PennRailVideos has made it to the Reading and Northern crews. 

In any case, here is the NRFF rolling north through Port Clinton, PA this afternoon at 14:36 with a couple of small Old Glories flying from the grab irons.

Those guys whip through the yard pretty fast. What’s track speed through Port Clinton?

I’m going to defer to someone else for that answer. That said the Main is welded rail all the way through.

Thanks for sharing the video, I saw the NRFF on Saturday in the Lehigh Gorge and the SD40-2s sounded great.  

Does the NRFF run daily?

I believe it does, usually I hear it on the Reading Area scanner feed leaving north Reading around 2pm. The NRRB is usually just ahead of or just behind the NRFF.
