Eastern Railroad Discussion > Finally blue skies at Shen.Date: 09/20/20 09:15 Finally blue skies at Shen. Author: ddavies After a number of days with hazzy sun from the western wildfires, the weather cleared out the haze and there were blue skies at Shenandoah Junction for a wonder Saturday of fanning.
Three EMD 70Ace leaders, and one whiteface, which was the only 9000 leader all day. (pictured, NS 228). Over on CSX, 881 led E765, with 6 units up front, and 1036 axles! 18T was over 11,000 feet long, forcing UPS and FedEx trains 203 and 201 into sidings, since no siding is over 9,200 feet in WV (on the H-line).
