Buffalo & Pittsburgh coal on the Mon?
Author: Roadbed

Does B&P regularly have coal trains in the Mon Valley (Pennsylvania) on CSX &/or NS or is this a one time move?

If regular, how often and what is the origin and destination? Thanks for any info.

I have seen the B&P coal train load at Bailey / Enlow Fork mine on the Manor Branch. I have always seen it come into CSX Newell, PA. yard and go from there South to load. The destination is Homer City, PA. I believe. As far as I can tell the train runs infrequently. No set schedule. Probably as needed.

Thanks for the intel. This one was southbound empty at Newell. It had B&P power and B&P hoppers. I didn't know they had a hopper fleet.
