Eastern Railroad Discussion > (This) Morning on the MohawkDate: 10/22/20 17:39 (This) Morning on the Mohawk Author: march_hare Crappy traffic this morning on CSX along the Mohawk River.
But I did catch this westbound Amtrak special move at Lock 13. It called itself Amtrak 937 or 947, couldn't tell on the scanner. Looks like the kind of consist they send down to Elmira to fetch new Viewliners. But those runs go down NS to Binghamton. And to make things even weirder, this train returned east about 2 hours later. Anybody know the story? What's so interesting about your picture is that, if you were to cropp out the barge, etc., leave the right side as is, and turn it 90 degrees {either way), it itself could portray a symetrical image.
