Eastern Railroad Discussion > Wrecked NS Whitethorne District bridge replaced west of RoanokeDate: 11/19/20 13:55 Wrecked NS Whitethorne District bridge replaced west of Roanoke Author: Jimbo The NS bridge destroyed in a coal train derailment October 30 on the Whitethorne District just west of Salem, Virginia, has been replaced and the track could be open as soon as today. The last two of three open deck spans were placed in position on two new bridge piers yesterday and ballasting and surfacing work was going on today, a friend reports. That was 20 days for clean up and replacement, including a couple of days when work stopped because of high water. All NS traffic west of Roanoke has been using the Christiansburg District.

Acrow is one such company who can do these panels either for temporary or permanent bridging according to your wishes and design. |
