Eastern Railroad Discussion > NYSW 70m-2 heads east this morningDate: 11/25/20 07:50 NYSW 70m-2 heads east this morning Author: pal77 In the early hours this morning NYSW sent SU100 east arriving in NJ just after sun up. 2nd unit was former NS 70m-2 patched and renumbered 4060, I had earlier guessed 4300 series but I had eroneously assumed 4300hp checking Dash9's page found they are 4000hp thus the number 4060. So I dont know yet if they are 4060+ or 4056-58-60-62 following the 70m's. Usually SU99 heads west on Wed night but with holiday not sure. Now will they actually paint them. Lash up was also included GMTX 9000 an SD60 on radial trucks previously leased to VTR/P&W partnership.

Any word on what the 3012 is doing down in Roanoke? Or at least that's where a member here mentioned it was heading. Date: 11/25/20 08:30 Re: NYSW 70m-2 heads east this morning Author: CP8888 Where do these trains get on the former L&HR to access New Jersey?

the old Erie Main running thru central Orange County communities keeping these CBD areas alive and not drop passengers in some remote corn fields off on the graham line. Duhhh Aside from the daily commuter runs and some few local service at least the NYSW if correct maintains only the last run-thru connections on the southern tier NY division. I wasn't sure how long NYS&W used the Bergen County line and the connection at Saddle Brook. Posted from Android |
