Eastern Railroad Discussion > Colorful Lash-up on America's TrainDate: 01/23/21 17:58 Colorful Lash-up on America's Train Author: PennRailVideos Today, the Reading & Northern's flagship train, the North Reading Fast Freight or "NRFF", had quite the quartet of locomotives. Undoubtably, "America's Train" was the train to see today.
We first catch them leaving North Reading yard. In the lash-up are two of the four SD50-2s R&N picked up second hand from CSX. The 5018 & 5019 have been given new paint as the railroad continues to "Rebrand" itself by trying various paint schemes. The 5019 was not online for this run, just simply along for the ride.

Hopefully one of these days I can catch the 5018 or 5019 in the lead! - Adam C. Date: 01/23/21 23:44 Re: Colorful Lash-up on America's Train Author: Tominde Really nice seroes of pictures. Hopefully the new paints do no not fade as fast.

BUT.................the black unit seems to have a capped exhaust stack, and no horns! Or am I seeing things?? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/24/21 09:59 by coach. |
