3/30/21 after the 4:53 NICTD South Shore Freight moves West down 11th Street at Franklin. 2001  does not have PTC so cannot lead.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say "super special", but Photo #1 is definitely "spiffy keen".
Definitely IOTD material.

FYI: The Michigan City 11th St passenger station is closing May 1st as part of the double tracking project. A parking structure will be built at the current station parking lot and two high level platforms will be built in the street. Street running will end within the next two years as the double track is installed. (Passengers will continue to be served at the Michigan City Carroll Ave station, 11th St will reopen with the opening of the double track.)
