TP&W action Tuesday
Author: JETRR

Tuesday when I was out rail fanning around Clymers, IN on the NS Wabash line I ran across the southbound TP&W local heading to Bringhurst, IN, presumably to pick up empties. Since train frequency on this line is so low I decided to chase since the weather was perfect and I never had the opportunity to capture a few unique backdrops on the line with a train.
Photo 1: The TP&W local south out of Clymers at the approach signal for the diamond with the NS.
Photo 2: The local crossing Rock Creek in Carroll County.
Photo 3: The local passing the old Camden, IN grain elevator.

Photos 4 & 5: Flora, IN. The depot is former Vandalia RR built in 1908 and in the midst of being fully restored.

That's a funky signal pole in #1 and #2 is just beautiful! JG

The signal pole formerly supported a PRR position light head. A few years ago Winamac Southern, the owner of this line, replaced the signal head with a single fixed approach indication. Here is the same signal pole with the PRR target head mounted back when CR owned this line.

Nice series on a rarely trekked line.  Thanks for sharing.
