When I arrived at the tracks in Stockbridge, Ga. NS 23N was stopped in the siding holding for southbound NS 372 to pass. I had just set up my video camera when the conductor came walking up to me. Real nice guy and it turns out he knows several of my friends. He told me there was a 10mph slow order for a good stretch on the Atlanta south end (since NS has been doing tie replacement among other improvements), so it would a little while until 372 made it to stockbridge. We had a great conversation and you can see him waving when the head end passes me. They had a long train, It took nearly 19 minutes (at 10mph) to come out of the siding. It was great to meet friendly people like that......Made my day!!
