Posted from iPhone Date: 07/22/21 11:35 Re: CSX Author: nsrlink Not one mention in that corporate speak fluff article that they are ranked the WORST employer in the country on glassdoor or about the thousands of people they canned without a second thought. Treat people like crap, hostile work environment, unpredictable hours 24/7, asked to do the impossble with little resources or training... ...is it any wonder no one wants to work for any of these crapy class 1 railroads and they have such a hard time finding anyone?
I remember when the two eastern RRs would run an ad in the paper & 500 people would show up for a hand full of jobs. Those days are gone & the words must be out. They reap what they sow. Part B of a potential conspiracy is they will whine to Congress & FRA that no one wants to work there, so please let us go to one man crews. It's not our fault we treated everyone like dirt & nobody will work for us any more right? Date: 07/22/21 12:56 Re: CSX Author: MC6853 "...although these jobs pay well and have good benefits, they're not attracting people like they used to..."
Maybe it's something you're doing wrong on your end? Just a thought... Date: 07/22/21 13:39 Re: CSX Author: Chessie A friend recently departed a Class I where his compensation package was worth north of $300K. Took a management job at a short line. MUCH happier! If that doesn't say something about today's Class I work environment I don't know what does.

Just a thought... But those Big Hedge Fund Shareholders are happy and that's what counts today. All for now and the hell with tomorrow. We've got to make more profits regardless of anything else, that's our motto. John in White Marsh, Maryland Date: 07/22/21 18:10 Re: CSX Author: Lkirts They haven't figured out that part yet.
