Tried and true SD40-2’s on the Reading Line
Author: dschlegel

While walking the first of my two beagles around the mean streets of Topton this evening I was treated to what I believe was the H44 with two SD40-2's. The engines and horn sounded great! Sorry for the somewhat shaky video, Lucy was tugging a bit at my heals.

Enjoy!

Excellent video.  You certainly did a super job.
SD40-2 sights and sounds were awesome.
Hope Lucy did not mind.
Thanks for your post.

H44, is that the Abrams - Allentown turn? If so that was a sizable train for them.

Correct, I usually see it run west through Topton between 7 and 8:30 pm with two of the SD60E’s (69xx or 70xx road numbers). Last night’s train was definitely longer than normal, as H44 usually runs with roughly 50 cars.

There is a chance it wasn’t H44, in which case we’d need someone in the know to fill us in.

Thanks!
Dan
