A quick trip "back home" to Upstate New York passing through Ripley, NY on Route 20 to take an Interstate break and caught two trains.

1. NS 7707 and 4302 roll through the grape vineyards east of Erie, PA and just inside the New York State line as they haul Train 22K east towards Buffalo, NY on the former NKP.

2. Over on the parallel CSX line is an unidentified eastbound headed by CSX 237 and 5485 under heavy gray clouds.

The area between Fredonia,NY and Harbor Creek,PA is my favorite area to watch trains.  Nice shots!

Just to the West in pic #1 is the high trestle over Twentymile Creek that offers some nice photo opportunities especially for westbound trains. Plus when in Ripley, try out Meeder’s a family restaurant with good food and great pies.
