Today I traveled to Jim Thorpe, PA, to ride the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway's 70-minute train ride. The train was pulled by Reading and Northern 2011 and 2013, with a total of 6 cars and a great attendace on the train. The train ride through the mountains with the snow was a beatiful trip for this time of year in freezing temperatures. The train crews were all very nice and very knowledgeble about the history of the local area.

1. Reading and Northern 2013 ready to depart with a 1pm excursion train at Jim Thorpe, PA.

2,3. Reading and Northern 2011 arriving back to Jim Thorpe after the 1pm trip, and waiting to be loaded with passengers for the 3pm trip.

After a day in Jim Thorpe, I ventured to Port Clinton, PA, to see the Reading and Northern F7's aquired from Norfolk Southern in 2019. Here is 270 and 275 sitting in the yard at Port Clinton today, with some other picutres remembering the F7's with the road number 270 on Norfolk Southern.

1. R&N 270 in Port Clinton 01/30/2022.

2. Norfolk Southern 270 pulling a train of AB with two passenger cars and AB on the tail end at the Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, PA, on 06/06/2019.

3. Norfolk Southern 270 leading the Office Car Special east through the Roundhouse Road crossing, in Lewistown, PA, on 06/21/2019.
