My dog, Witold, and I took an early morning trip today to CSX CP 215, Little Falls, NY, arriving just past 7 o'clock. CP 215 is 23 miles east of Utica's Union Station.

It was a clear, cold morning (35 degrees). We caught two westbounds within an hour.

On the way out, I stopped to video a bridge still bearing NY Central markings.

Liked that video, has to be 10yrs since I was last there and was hoping the NYC logo was still there and in great shape.  Also had wondered if that siding was still present and from the video it looks like it still used, however cant imagine many of todays lenght trains fit there.  If not mistaken, most of that pole line was down froma large derailment over 10 yrs back, as a matter of fact my last visit there was extensive track work being done I think in the aftermaths of that.

I really enjoyed the whole video.  Nice to see the great NYC herald on such great shape on the bridge.

That was crazy, on the second train, The mid train DPU shoving 5 cars behind the bare tables.

What was the large concrete building on the north side of tracks?

The abandoned Pierce Stone Plant that crushed stone from the nearby quarry.
Started about 1921 and I think abandoned in the 1930's. Silos and chutes provided gravity loading for hopper cars.

nice catch on theat sd70mac on the 1st train and thanks for showing that entire dpu'd train.
