I am not picking or anything, I just simply can't tell if you really excited about this or terrible upset/disappointed. Date: 05/12/22 18:21 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: MdRailfan I originally heard this also, but last week I heard from an unreliable source that Tom's brother is going to own it and his wife is going to run it. This would be the brother ( a railfan) from St. Louis, Mo. If that is true, than my only concern would be the age of said brother and how long before it ends up changing hands again.

Bueno, of course, meaning good. BobE Date: 05/12/22 20:25 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: CR6377 Alex Lang and Wife now owning it is completely true. Other rumors are now false.
Marc L Date: 05/13/22 08:52 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: JUTower Thanks everyone, the business officially changed hands yesterday. It is an honor to carry Tom Davis' torch forward. (Also, very big shoes to fill).
We have an on-site manager, my wife and I are not in a position to move to Cresson. Some changes are planned to update things and make things a bit more comfortable. While there's a lot of work yet to do, we are accepting reservations. Online booking and credit card acceptance are in the near future. Appreciate all of the comments and support! -J. Alex Lang & family PS - we are looking into doing a room or two with A/C as a possibility once things "get going" Date: 05/13/22 10:27 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: dschlegel JUTower Wrote:

You’re the guy that first told me about the Station Inn back around 2000. I’m glad to hear it’s in good hands! Dan Posted from iPhone Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/13/22 11:43 by dschlegel. There could not be a better owner who is a railfan and have stayed so many times there.

As I said it was from an unreliable source. I look forward to my current reservation in August. A great day for Railfans everywhere! Date: 05/14/22 16:31 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: BNSF-E9 Most excellent news.
I must ask if Sandi is still there? Date: 05/14/22 16:43 Re: The Station Inn..Great News Author: MC6853 Good to hear A/C is being considered, and thank you for answering... To be honest, that's the big reason I've never stayed there, because for me no air con is a deal-breaker... I would 100% book a room there in future if it had A/C...

About the AC that a lot of people talk about---OK it can sometimes get hot in the summer months, but it is a mountain top--it cools off very quickly at night. There are ceiling fans in every room too. IMO, AC is only needed rarely, and only a few days worth in both July & August. Book a room after looking at the 10 day forecast in July & August & time a good weather pattern---OR--- book a room in the Spring or Fall OR Winter.(Lots of snow & Chilly & Great Photo Ops & No crowds) After all---The trains run 24/7, 365 days a year.....
