Switcher Sunday - ABC 1501
Author: refarkas

On Friday June 17, 2022, I found Akron Barberton Cluster 1501 finishing her work in Akron, Ohio.  Photos one and three have her working a company. Photo two is a roster photo.
1.) Preparing to back up into the company.
2.) A roster photo.
3.) Working the company.

Photos four and five have her getting her train ready to head back to Barberton.
4.) Making up her train.
5.) A closer view of her train.

It looks like a Rio Grande inspired scheme.  Who was the previous owner?

The Akron Barberton Cluster is owned by the W&LE. This locomotive is former Akron and Barberton Belt 1501. I just posted a photo of it as A&BB 1501 on "Nostalgia & History".

Great series of images.
It's nice to see work still going on at local businesses.

Hi Bob:  Your roster photo should be the last one as the box car behind the engine in this photo is clean without any of that damn graffiti which makes it a better photo in my opinion.  Thanks for your coverage and photos as always.
