Wellsboro and the Hoosier Valley Rail Museum
Author: calumet

Last Saturday some friends and I visited Wellaboro, IN, where the CSX ex-B&O main crosses CN's ex-GTW main.  CSX train frequency has been greatly reduced since PSR; from 55-60 to about 35-40 would be my guess.  However CN frequency seems to have declined marginally.  Here are a couple of shots of CN manifests rumbling through the diamonds.

Later, we drove down to the Hoosier Valley museu;m and found their 0-4-0 {or 0-4-4?} Bock Lumber Co. steamer in operation.

My friend and I went to Wellsboro on the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2021. Yes! Way less traffic on CSX as opposed to being there on the Friday after Thanksgiving way back in 2017.
