Sand Patch Foliage?

The peak foliage near the top of CSX's Sand Patch grade is usually October 9-12.   That's when the maples strut their colors.  Are the woods beginning to "color Up"?

Temps in western PA had been much more seasonally cool this September and that is continuing into October. That is a nice change from the past couple years when high October temps have delayed or “browned out” the foliage season. Down in the Pgh are we are already Starting to see maples turning so I would imagine the mountains are well on their way to peak at the summits.

That is a great pic taken in 06.....

There is color starting to pop along the NS Pittsburgh Line in Pa.

Pennsylvania DCNR reports just "starting to change" for Somerset County. These maps are generalized, of course, and do not account for differences in elevation.
