Eastern Railroad Discussion > Red dirt railroading (CaterParrott)Date: 11/21/22 12:54 Red dirt railroading (CaterParrott) Author: EL833 Had a free Saturday morning one of the recent weeks I was in Georgia, so despite the overcast day I ventured down to the CaterParrott Railnet Thomaston Division and followed job 7 from Barnesville to Thomaston. The SW1500/GP40 combo was neat. First photo at Barnesville, Georgia then south of town a bit. Third photo is passing "The Rock" station sign- and yes, that's the name of the town.

I had a better day weather wise a week later and managed to see a CPR set of three GP40s at Shady Dale, Georgia.
