Here are a few pictures of the Carolina Piedmont Railroad as they ran from Laurens, SC toward Greenville, SC with their local freight. They normal run Monday through Friday, with special trains for turbines on Saturdays from time to time.

Nice! I’m a newbie railfan in Easley. I had not come across this short line yet but I’ll check it out. Another possible spot to search for trains near home.

What model is GP #2079?  It does not have the body blister like the other two units.

The "body blister" houses the dynamic brake grids, which are an option. Many units were built without them for C&NW, NYC, IC, CN, GTW, LIRR and other roads.
