Beautiful Day here in Vermilion, OH
Home from the D&H Land visit.

1. Intermodal 28B took the NKP side today on the way east, caught here on the Vermilion River Bridge with NS 4013 and UP 2670.

2. A heron fishes in the Vermilion River.

3. Then Train 260 trundles overhead with NS 4365 and 1171 under slow orders.

4. Train 22X makes a peaceful scene, and not only are the herons out fishing today, the humans are also. Power is NS 9678, KCS 4108 and NS 1835.

5. A closer look at the colorful KCS 4108 on the 22X.

6. One of the herons takes a break from fishing to check out the 22X.

7. Last train on our watch today is the 13N. Lots of CP traffic. Does this eventually go into Bensenville on some train from Elkhart ?

8. A closer look at the CP 8865.

9. Checking out the trailing tonnage on the 13N. CRGX and SYRX tanks.

13. PROX 71159 and 71056 with HAZMAT 3082 placards.

14. GATX 24500 with HAZMAT 1294 placard.

Good to see the Canada cylindrical hoppers. They have been retiring them and cutting them up.
I like the Herons, I used to live by a pond and a pair of Blue Herons nested in the swapy area where the springs fed the pond.
