Chasing an SD40 on the AGS South

A great way to start the Month of June!

This afternoon I got a spur of the moment heads up about NS running an extra train out of McCalla, AL to New Orleans. Normally, I wouldn't go out and shoot during the week due to work, but once I heard that an ex N&W SD40-2 would be leading the train solo, I had to make an exception. It was great seeing the hogger have this 1974 built beauty laid back at track speed.

Image 2: Running around a money making stack train at track speed in York, AL.
Image 3: Entering Smith Siding in Toomsuba, MS preparing to tie down.

Enjoy!

Looks like it still has a Leslie horn, too. Not many of those left.
