 A large collection of dormant trolley cars in Pennsylvania might wind up being scrapped.
The cars are part of the collection of Vintage Electric Streetcar of Windber, Pennsylvania.
The cars, which are scattered around a 20-acre site, have already been sold to a salvage company, which is holding off on cutting them up in hopes that some might be sold and thus saved.

The collection has been described as the largest private collection of trolley cars and has been dubbed by some as “the trolley graveyard.”
Among the cars at the site are PCC cars that once ran in Philadelphia, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Boston, and Kansas City, Missouri.
The cars have been described as ranging from nearly roadworthy to unsalvageable.
Interested parties who wish to obtain one or more of the cars and/or their parts should contact Bill Pollman at (617) 828-7308. From the akronrrblog

Below is information from a member of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum If you belong to Train Orders, you might post the correct info.

"The collection is now owned by Kantner Iron & Steel Co. and their contact is
John Toth, phone 814-242-8588."

Thanks for the correction, what's up with the attitude?
It's not the first time I've made a mistake. Yes, I belong to
TO or I wouldn't be posting.
The info I had was direct from the Akron RR Blog, I have
no way of confirming it! If there are any interested parties
for this post they can now do there own research.

So where is this "collection" in Winber, PA ...... exactly?
