Northeast Ohio - ORHS 471/CSX 3095

Here are three from Northeast Ohio on September 16, 2023.
1.) Orrville Railroad Heritage Society 471 in Orrville.
2. ORHS 471 with train. They were only running speeders today.
3.) CSX 3095 is westbound in Warwick.

The Orrville Railroad Heritage Society has 471's history on its website. Look under "Equipment".

Thanks.  I checked out #471's history on the ORHS website.  It is definitely interesting.

Nice catches and photos.   Used to see the 471 in the Medina Loop passenger train.    That hasn't run in a few years.

571 is 1951 Maine Central GP-7.  In a rebuild in MC shops it got a low nose and was renumbered to #471.  Rebuilt by Amtrak in the 1990s with a 645 engine - 2000 hp, plus various electrical upgrades.  It has been part of the ORHS since 2000.

You can operate 471 over the tracks of ORHS, and be taught to operate it by a locomotive engineer.  www.orhs.org
