NASA Rocket Booster train with NS Veterans unit leading in Ga.

The NASA rocket booster train eased through Stockbridge, Ga. this evening with the NS Veterans unit on the point. He's running on an approach signal at restricted speed.

NS 6920 SD60E Veterans heritage unit
NS 4479 AC44C6M

Crescent,

Very well done. In my opinion that was a near perfect video. You certainly had good lighting. You identified the location, caught the approach from the shadows and horn sounding for the crossing, the approaching loco, maybe cut a little short, but quickly picking up and close in enough to get a good look. This was followed by the interesting manifest and a nice going away shot. Thank you for posting.
 Interesting that the booster cars all had arrows pointing toward the rear of the train but stating "Forward". I'm sure it has to do more with unloading than shipping direction!

Does anyone know when they replaced the Conrail (sounding) Leslie horn on the 6920?  It used to have one.

It looks like the first two booster cars in the train are air conditioner equipped, but the rest are not. Anybody know why? Special type booster segments?
