Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 261 Hustling Through Lyons, PA and other Reading Line ActionDate: 09/30/23 12:38 NS 261 Hustling Through Lyons, PA and other Reading Line Action Author: dschlegel I was able to catch a few trains along the NS Reading Line today. By far my favorite today was the 261 (remember when that was a Triple Crown train?) with its colorful international containers and its fast speed.

Lol, that's the first thing I thought when I saw "261" before you even mentioned it in parentheses. I remember hearing (CR) RR-261 calling the WB signal at Macungie and running down to the tracks in Alburtis or further west for a quick shot and rollby. Nice bunch of videos, I really miss the cool, dark fall days in eastern PA (winter not so much) as we rarely get them down here in TX... JG Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/30/23 16:37 by jgilmore. She has no interest in ever going back there!! That said I have several fond memories of being down there for thanksgiving or Easter when it was cold in PA and being grateful to be in the warmth.
