NS 27A through Boyce, VA

On the way home from a cross country meet today, I stopped off in Boyce, Virginia to watch the NS 27A head south on the former N&W Shenandoah Valley Line.

Neat location! Does 27A often run with DPU? We don’t often see intermodal trains in PA with DPU.

Thanks!

Pretty regularly. When NS got rid of 213, 203 got longer (now symboled as 27A) and seems to usually have 2 in front and 2 mid-train DPUs although I have seen it with four units leading and with 2 leading and 2 rears-DPUs.

I like vintage buildings. Makes for a nice scene.
