Eastern Railroad Discussion > TrentonDate: 11/19/23 19:11 Trenton Author: tq-07fan Trenton Ohio was founded in 1816 and renamed Trenton after the capitol of New Jersey. This evening I walked to from the Edgewood High School to Trenton and back. I stopped and chatted with an older local railfan named Dick where I got picture 1. I141 was limited to 30 mph due to a non working EOT. After I141 I continued north on Hamilton-Trenton Rd. I could see but photograph one southbound as Hamilton-Trenton Rd does not follow closely the tracks. I turned at State St Street which is Ohio State Rt 73. I got to the crossing with the CSX formerly B&O, formerly CH&D Toledo Sub right when M511 was coming past the signal at mp 34.5 for pictures 2 and 3.
1) I141 passing MP 32 on the Toledo Sub. It is diverging from the Main to Track two at what CSX calls Trenton. 2) M511 crossing State St which is Ohio State Rt 73. State St is just before MP 34. Without a car to deal with I thought I would try this shot from farther back from the crossing. I have taken shots from the other side of State St and think they come out better than this. 3) M511 heading toward Overpeck, Hamilton, Cincinnati and the sunset! Jim Edited 1 time(s).
