At 601 Pennsylvania Av this building was built in 1893.

However Southern Railway did have their headquarters in Washington, DC.  The building still exists or did at least a few years ago.  Does somebody have a picrure?

Here's an article on the Southern Railway headquarters building:  Southern Railway Building - This building served as the headquarters for the Southern Railway Company, an important railroad conglomerate. | DC Historic Sites (dcpreservation.org)

The Official Guide for May 1945 shows all of the ACL's senior management except the chairman of the board as located in Wilmington NC. The chairman was at 71 Broadway in New York City.

ACL had a DC sales office at 735 15th Street
