A Few Low Light in Lake Erie Land
Author: train1275

Wednesday March 27, 2024
Vermilion, OH

I haven't had much of any ambition the last few days. Got a catch yesterday of the 66X tanks with a CP leader and a KCSM rear DPU that was a little different to see, and the 22H about sunset today. All at the sunset fringes of useable light, at least with my skill level and equipment.

1. & 2.  66X comes east through Vermilion with crude oil loads about sunset on March 26, 2024 with CP 8123 leading. It is rather unusual to see a CP leader here.

3. Tankers roll east.

4. KCSM 4095 the rear DPU on the 66X.

5. & 6. Fast forward to this evening and we are at Joppa Road west of Vermilion looking west as the 22H intermodal makes its daily trek across northern Ohio from ChicagoLand to Harrisburg, PA.

Nice!
I have to say your options, even on awful days, is far better that here.
It got so bad I hardly ever go out to photo anything.
Enjoy what you get.
