Eastern Railroad Discussion > Seminole Gulf Traffic on CSX Brewster SubDate: 04/01/24 15:03 Seminole Gulf Traffic on CSX Brewster Sub Author: bmarti7 I traveled up to Auburndale today and caught a couple of Amtrak's. (see passenger board). On the way up it was completely dead in the Bone Valley, Mulberry and Winston. Heading home I heard the DS giving a track warrant to the L751 Winston-Arcadia (Seminole Gulf interchange). I shot the train going through Bradley with 38 cars. The switch at Bradley Jct. Is radio controlled. Interestingly, although the switch was lined normal, the crew toned the switch to reverse (confirmed) and then back to normal. Not sure if this is SOP. Here's a few shots of L751-01.
PCBill 1. led by CSX 4055 2. Several gondolas filled with rip rap headed for the rebuilding of the Sanibel Island causeway 3. Many centerbeans with lumber and drywall. Edited 3 time(s). That line is flat as a pancake and slow running. Doesn't take much to keep it rolling. Posted from Android Date: 04/01/24 17:34 Re: Seminole Gulf Traffic on CSX Brewster Sub Author: bmarti7 ShortlinesUSA Wrote:

Would be interesting to know more about the switch alignment and what is considered standard operating procedure.

Around here it's SOP to at least send the code for normal (or reverse as the case may be) when approaching the switch. I've heard them do it on both OC and CSX; I know it's SOP for OC, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's SOP for CSX. Tom |
