Eastern Railroad Discussion > Colorful Consist on the CSX Charlotte SubDate: 04/12/24 06:57 Colorful Consist on the CSX Charlotte Sub Author: jdrtrainwatcher A beautiful and sunny Sunday April 7th, 2024 finds empty ethanol train CSX B650 making its way west (railroad south) on the CSX Charlotte Subdivision.
With CSXs own freights and coal trains through here having solid sets of CSX power 99% of the time, it's nice to be able to catch these run through ethanol trains when they run, especially in the middle of a sunny afternoon. This days empty B650 featured BNSF SD70ACe #9262, KCS SD70ACe #4111, & BNSF C44-9W #4023. Pic #1: B650 crossing over the Catawba River in Mt Holly, NC on the old P&N mainline (now Mt Holly siding). Pic #2: B650 heading into downtown Mt Holly, NC coming off the P&N.
