The "air raid" siren was silent, but 8099's horn was LOUD and clear. Norfolk Southern's N/B Office Car Special (OCS) 955 is returning from the Master's Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA. Here, on its way to its base in Altoona, PA, its approaching the Village Mill Drive grade crossing on NS' Lurgan Branch Line. NS Heritage units Southern ES44AC-8099 & Virginian SD70ACe-1069 are on the point. 4:00PM on 4-15-24 in Maugansville, MD.
2. Norfolk Southern's N/B Office Car Special (OCS) 955 is returning from the Master's Golf Tournament in Augusta, GA. Here, on its way to its base in Altoona, PA, its crossing Possum Hollow Road on NS' Lurgan Branch Line. Both of those units are my fav of all them NS had done and they just so happen to be on point! Have a picture of my son as a young kid standing in front of 8099 in Salisbury when they were all together there and he's now a senior in HS.
