what to should i hsve to see trains on the harrisburg line at leb
Author: Darthsimpletext

i was hoping to see a couple trains this morning but never made it until just after noon. I am also disappointed that 21W, 11n and 29G and 28X all passed by before i even got to the lebanon train station. What are all the train schedules like so i can possibly adjust to them? I did hear 10K and saw 14Z but wished i saw more… Should i be here earlier? If so how much earlier?

actually it’s more that i don’t know where all the interlocking points trains call that is a bit confusing aside from wyomissing

Dorf is womelsdorf
Wall is ????
What is the annville signal?
What other junctions should i be aware of?

spoken rather prematurely as soon after writing the 28X and 30A came east. 14Z leader and 30A have interesting horns

Why don't you study the Harrisburg Line timetable and piece it all together like alot of us did in the early days?

Wall is just west of 25th Street in Lebanon.
Annville is further west.

And have a stack of magazines or books or some thing and just sit and read. If the train shows up the train shows up. If not, oh well.

wasn't there a branch that went off called the Cornwall Secondary?  Or was it the name of an employee killed in the line of duty

Later a branch, but originally it was the Cornwall railroad. It was a Bethlehem Steel rr to serve iron mines near Cornwall, Pa south of Lebanon and continued south to a PRR connection at Mt. Gretna, Pa and an RDG connection at Mt. Hope. Later operated as an RDG branch until abandoned except for a small stub in Lebanon in the late 60’s

If you remember the little engine terminal that Conrail had by the yard office, that was it.

I'm pretty sure at certain times they took that raw ore to the pelletizer in Joanna. Any shots of the Grace Mine Run you see with 4 GP40-2's rather then 3, they probably have loaded ore in the train enroute to Joanna.

It also went to the concentrator on the north side of the main line in Lebanon.
