The South Shore's Ogden Dunes Station

The double tracking project between Gary and Michigan City is now finished--no more bustitutions.  Here's a look at what the new Ogden Dunes station looks like. As with the Dune Park station, it has a high level platform for one track (note the gantlet) and a low level for the other.  While I was there, a WB and an EB came through and both used the high level track.  The enclosures on both platforms have easy to use ticket machines.

While there, a WB Amtrak train from Michigan swooshed by on the adjacent NS Chicago Line, led by a Siemens unit.  It featured an Amfleet cafe car, two Horizon coaches and three of the new Venture coaches.
