Norfolk Southern under wire on the NEC

Norfolk Southern GP38-2-5822, with S/B train H-04 (Bayview Yard-East Baltimore, MD to Havre de Grace, MD Turn) is crossing the Bush River on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. Having completed its work in Havre de Grace, its returning back to Baltimore. GP38-2-5801 is on the rear. 4:35PM on 4-25-24 in Willoughby Woods, Edgewood, MD.

That is a nice photo and a great catch.  Norfolk Southern also goes under wire on the Keystone Sub to serve freight customers, one of them being the Strasburg Rail Road near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Very nice! I drove around much off the NEC last year and saw some of the rail served industries along it and wondered when they got service.
