Two Shortlines for Friday
Author: Fire28

Texted a friend this morning to see if he was working on the Eastern Shore of MD and it turns out he was the Engineer on a MDDE Train operating out of Massey.
Photo 1: MDDE 1201 is seen passing through Sudlersville, MD with 7 empty hoppers headed to Perdue AgriBusiness - Roberts Grain Elevator in Church Hill, MD.

After capturing the MDDE I decided to ride up to Wilsmere yard to see if their was any CSX Action, I arrived after most of the days west bounds had already passed, but to my surprise the East Penn showed up.
Photo 2: East Penn Train WN-26/ CSX Z307-26 is seen entering the east end of Wilsmere Yard, in Elsmere, DE with 17 cars.

Nice to see 2172 and 2171 paired up for ESPN. They just arrived on property last month

I was not aware that Purdue got loads in. Only thought they loaded corn for the DCR shuttle.

Neat shots, first there were ex-SP B30-7's years ago, and now that GP38-2. It still has the L-window from SP.

Excellent photos.  MDDE #1201 is especially interesting, looks well cared for.

Both are great photos of railroads that are not often covered.  Thanks for sharing these photos with all of us.
