A C430 for 4/30
Author: RuleG

On the Nostalgia & History board there are several posts titled C430 for 4/30.

During a September 2020 trip to Meadville, Pennsylvania, I got a photo of Western New York & Pennsylvania C430 #432.  It was originally built as New York Central 2054 before going to Penn Central and then Conrail.   It subsequently became Morristown & Erie #16 before  coming to the WNY & P.

I originally was going to post this on the Nostalgia & History board.   As far as I know, #432 is still active on the WNY & P, so I am posting this on the Eastern board.

Knowing the current CMO of Morristown and Erie, he is glad not to deal with that or any more Alcos in general.

It's interesting how some RR's swear by ALCO, LOVE THEM and their durability and fuel efficiency, while other CMO's absolutely HATE THEM.
