Eastern Railroad Discussion > All that power had to be turnedDate: 05/07/24 19:45 All that power had to be turned Author: CSX2605 This afternoon the CSX 254 was behaving badly and was no good as a leader on CSX B231-03. The train was stopped at Decker siding and after talking to the mechanical desk it was decided to uncouple from the train and go north to Vincennes, IN and turn the power. BNSF 5139 had to be the new lead unit.
1st photo is the power passing me just south of Vincennes slowly making their way to town. 2nd photo is the power going away headed to Vincennes and going into Alice siding to let two trains go south then go into town and spin the power. BNSF 5139 will be the new leader. 3rd photo is the train going north after coupling back up to their train at Decker siding. Evidently CSX 775 & 855 were not good for power. Photos 2 & 3 are a couple old hoppers in the train. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/07/24 19:54 by CSX2605. Date: 05/07/24 22:31 Re: All that power had to be turned Author: refarkas Great series of photos.
