Around Brunswick, Maryland, 10/28/24
Author: GPutz

Brunswick, Maryland
1. The L128 crew uses BNSF ES44DC #7530 + BNSF ES44C4 #8369 + BNSF ES44DC #7319 on the North Lead and #3 Runner for headroom to remove bad order cars from a G110 consist at 10:18.  After their work the power and cars shove back into the yard, not to be seen again this day.
2. Simultaneously, the w/b CSXT M422 led by CM44ACs #7387, rebuilt from CW44AC #490 built 9//00, + #7278, rebuilt from CW44AC #493 built 9//00, uses #2 Main for headroom to set out and pick up cars.
3. An e/b CSXT coal train is led by CM44AC #7293, rebuilt from CW44AC #336 built 4//98, CW44AC #421, built 10//99, +

Weverton, Maryland, MP 78.8
7. ES44AH #775 + ET44AH #3432 lead e/b CSXT C744 (Mettki, MD, to Pier IX, Newport News, VA) at 12:20.
About an hour and a half later the second unit of C744 shuts down and the train stalls on Barnesville Hill, at MP 34.4.  The L128 crew (I don’t know what power) is sent to shove.
8. M422 goes west at 12:28 after a Car Department inspection.
9. ET44AH #3288 leads e/b CSXT M276 with DPU ES44AH #3249 at 12:36.
About an hour and a half later M276 also stalls on Barnesville Hill next to C744.  The L112 crew is sent to shove.  I suspect there are leaves on the rails on Barnesville Hill.

PICTURE 5:

You could also have had this occur at CP SUMMIT on the CSX TRENTON LINE. They would be huge trains without those double stacks, and septa would be "in the picture" while the lurkings of MARC trains not so much in brunswick

Someone probably did get these two meeting on the trenton line before getting rerouted
