I know the area very well and I am surprised that the CSX Police did not stop you from being there at the St. Denis MARC waiting shelter.  CSX has made it a rule that only MARC Commuter Passengers can be there at the shelter during both the morning and late afternoon when the MARC Trains are operating, otherwise they now consider this area off limits to everyone else, especially rail enthusiasts taking photos.  You were lucky as I have been told that the CSX Police will now arrest trespassers as technically this is their private property.
