Yesterday, I had a chance to chase the Massachusetts Central from Ware to Barre. Weather was warm, light was beautiful and obviously there's no snow...where's Winter? #1 - Northbound MCER 1751 crossing Rte 32 in the center of Gilbertville MA. #2 - The main load on this trip was 5 cars of pipe for Wildwood Corp in South Barre. #3 - 1751 crosses over Barre Rd in Old Furnace. #5 - Backing down across a tributary to the Ware River in South Barre, 1751 spots cars for Wildwood Corp. #6 - Switching done, MCER 1751 heads back up the grade and eventually to Palmer. This sure is a different view since the huge brick mill building that was in the background was taken down .
