Eastern Railroad Discussion > Help Needed - NS Birmingham-Attala-Chattanooga Mainline

I've been doing some research on the former Queen and Crescent Route and I am curious about current operations on the Norfolk Southern between Birmingham and Chattanooga via Attala and Fort Payne.  This was the Q&CR's mainline between Cincinatti and New Orleans and I'd be interested about traffic levels, types of traffic, capacity and signaling.  Thanks in advance.

The Alabama Great Southern Railroad Company has never been legally merged into the Norfolk Southern Railway Company (which in turn is owned by Norfolk Southern Corporation). Often this is an indication that there are other shareholders, but I don't know if that's the case with AGS.
