I suppose the new bridge will support the 2 track FEC/Brightline ROW? Gonut Date: 01/25/25 05:02 Re: Florida Friday: The Stuart Bridge Author: inrdjlg Nice shot! And this was yesterday, Friday, 1/24/25? The blue FEC unit was a good catch!
Clewiston was still socked in when I left there at noon, heading northwest. The cloudline was running southwest-to-northeast, so I figured that Stuart should still have been in clouds, unless its position on the coast made a sunny difference. The sun popped out a couple of times around Moore Haven, and I shot a southbound SCFE cane train (with new scheme No. 3801) in dimmed sunlight at Palmdale; however, I didn't hit full sunshine until I got past Lake Placid. Caught the CSX local coming back from interchanging with SCFE at Desoto. Heading back towards Clewiston, I began catching up with the clouds. About a mile past Gatorama at Palmdale, I encountered a northbound cane empty. Turning around, I overtook the train, but then had to drive about 10 miles before I could get back to sunny skies. If the weather stays sunny, I may have time to visit Stuart on Monday. Date: 01/25/25 06:13 Re: Florida Friday: The Stuart Bridge Author: refarkas Super scene - Great view.

Have to wonder how one of FEC Gevos would look in that paint scheme. |
