A Patina of Snow in Lake Erie Land

North Central Ohio
27 degrees, mostly sunny, and an icy dusting of snow.

1. - 3. Standing out at the Poorman Road crossing at MP 225, four miles west of Vermilion and watching the 11K come west working out of a slow order down at CP 224. His power is NS 7698, 9846 and mid-train DPU NS 1827. In the consist is a green PROX 5367 tank car with a HAZ-MAT 3082 placard.

4. - 5. Moving west to Joppa Road, the next crossing west and Train 29P shows up running a little later than normal. Power is NS 1092, 4496 and 7675.

6. Now we are in Huron at CP 232 as Train 22X comes east under the Christmas tree with NS 4414, 9837 and 4171.

7. - 8. Enjoying the scene as 22X rock and rolls east, and that was the last train caught today.

Read where Punxatawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, so we'll have six more weeks of winter.  Had he not seen his shadow, winter would've been over in another month and a half.

Great series of photos! There's something about those green PROCOR tankers, they just look cool.
